The pictures are of the former Glengarnock Steelworks in Ayrshire, Scotland - mainly from the Tiscali website. This area of Scotland suffered the same fate as many others at this time. Closedown. The pictures of the cleared steelwork site are from Flicker and the photographer was Gordon Cunningham.
The song was written by Patrick Gabriel Doyle in 1988 to reflect on and mentally deal with the economic depression and high unemployment at that time. This version features: Patrick Gabriel Doyle - Vocals, guitars, accordian etc., Caroline - Vocals and Kenny Welsh on percussion.
